  1. Nice memories, i was also disappointed with my first visit to Carnaby st as a teenager. During the Brit pop era i had friends who worked in the merc and The Face . We used to meet up on our scooters, at the Modesto coffee bar , then head too textile king in berwick st then go to a tailors in Carnaby st to get our suits and hipsters made.We also went to a club called Ruby’s which was on the site of the old Roaring 20s . I know a lot of old mods who bang on about Carnaby st now, but for me its come full circle with lots of trendy shops for young people.
